DAREDEVIL Season 2: Elektra Casted

Greetings and Salutations Once Again Audience,

Marvel’s Daredevil season two on Netflix has other big casting announcement.latest Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) is set to play the popular antihero Elektra Natchios, Marvel describes Elektra as a mysterious woman from Matt Murdock’s past whose dangerous and exotic ways may be more than he can handle.

Elektra, Daredevil’s girlfriend/enemy created by Frank Miller and first debuted in Daredevil No. 168 (1981).

The series made a vague reference to Elektra in the first season when Foggy (Elden Henson) recalled Matt’s “smokin’ hot” Greek girlfriend from college. Yung joining Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher. I’ve heard rumors the Bernthal’s Punisher will act as a primary antagonist for Daredevil season two. The real question is will they bring in Bullseye in season 2? I think the first half of season 2 Elektra and Daredevil will be at odds but will team up at some point. Executive Producer, Jeph Loeb commented,

“After a worldwide search,  we found in Elodie the perfect actress to embody both Elektra’s impressive and deadly physicality, as well as her psychological complexity…Paired with Charlie as Matt Murdock, the two will bring one of the most beloved and tumultuous comic book relationships to life with all the accompanying sparks and spectacular action sequences the show is known for.”

With Daredevil kicked off filming this week for season two, If Bullseye is in season 2 we will likly hear about it soon. The series returns to Netlfix in 2016. Give me your thoughts in the comments below and then share this with your friends and become part of the conversation.
